EYG:

  • Feb 21st: Mardi Gras themed party hosted by David & Kandy Lang; 15-20 kids attended
  • Mar 21st: Kids Cook for Parents hosted by Patti Hoffman.  4:30-6:30pm prepare food, 6:30-7:30pm serve.  This conflicts with First Communion Class.  Rich to communicate with Patti and Kandy for accommodations.
  • April event: Not planned yet

JYG:

  • Feb 28th: St. Paul’s Allentown, prepared and served breakfast to the needy.  10 kids and 2 adults attended.  Served close to 200 people.  Fellowship followed at Country View Diner.
  • March: Kidspeace visit followed by Lock-In at UELC (date TBD)

SYG:

  • Devo Dine being held each Wednesday during Lenten services.  Soup dinner followed by service.
  • Nikki & Chris Moore and Abby Possinger expressed their interest in leading SYG
  • Theological education event “Troubling the Water” open to current 9th and 10th graders.  Rich to email information.
  • Feb 21st: Lock In at Jordan Lutheran.  48 youth attended from five congregations (6th through 12th grades).
  • SYG expressed interest in doing joint service projects with JYG.  Due to requirement of JYG servant events, JYG offered to assist SYG do their own event on separate dates.
  • Coordinate joint movie night for JYG & SYG

Youthworks Harrisburg Trip:

  • 20 Youth and 5 adults attending
  • Rich to oversee financials forwarded from Cathy
  • Rich to train leaders in following sessions:
    • 3/28 12:00-1:00pm – Youth and Parents
    • 4/18 12:00-1:00pm – Leaders
    • 5/16 12:00-1:00pm – Leaders
    • 6/20 12:00-1:00pm – Leaders
    • 7/18 12:00-1:00pm – Leaders

Fundraising events:

  • Five Below – presently running
  • Italian Dinner – May 15th; Ticket sales May 2nd & May 9th
  • Carwash – June 26th; rain date July 10th
  • Friendly’s – May 17th

Other Business:

  • Youth Gathering 2012 in New Orleans – March 15th deadline to express interest in attending
  • April 25th: Café Karaoke Night for Youth and Families – dessert and coffee
  • June 12th-13th: Relay for Life at Schnecksville Fire Company 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday.  See if Youth would like to attend 1-2 hours, or overnight.
  • April 25th: Hosting Coffee and Conversation.  Email will be sent to Youth requesting baked goods closer to the date.
