Message from Stephen Ministry to ULC members – How many times have you met a family member, acquaintance or member of ULC, you asked them how they are doing?  They reply “no one listens” or “no one cares.”  Here at ULC we are blessed with a newly formed ministry of people who will both care and listen.  We invite anyone who needs someone to listen and to care to use Stephen Ministers.  We will keep anything you tell us strictly confidential.  Your hopes, dreams, fears, your cares are only between you and your Stephen Minister.  Who is this Stephen Minister?  It is someone who has put at least 50 hours into formal training so they will be better able to serve other lay people, their church and their God.  Our Stephen Ministers have put much more than 50 hours into this Ministry.  By now they can’t count the number of hours they have invested.  When you see our Stephen Ministers, they may be wearing a necklace or pin which bears the “Stephen Ministry Compass”, ask them about it.  Have you seen our banner in the Gathering Space near the clock?  Ask one of our team to explain the Stephen Ministry Logo.  Stephen Ministry is now actively serving this congregation.  We have Stephen Ministers meeting with their Care Receivers.  We are people you see every Sunday.  We are here to serve.  As of now we have no male Stephen Ministers.  To be better able to serve ULC we need male and female members to join our team.  We hope to begin our new Spring Stephen Ministry Training Class, Saturday, March 3rd.  If you would like to join our team, applications may be found on the round table in the Gathering Space.  Please fill one out and return it to the church by February 19.  We will set up an interview and order materials for our trainees.  Our congratulations to our present team.  You are doing a great job.  If you have any questions please contact Joan Fredericks (610-799-3451) or Irene Folk (484-241-8386).  The prayers of our entire team go to Pastor Moore and the entire ULC congregation.
