Guests are welcome to worship with us, and, to join us in the fellowship and mission activities of the congregation.  Guests are invited to become part of our family of faith by becoming members of the congregation.

New members are received three times a year – usually in February, April, and October.  Prior to reception in the congregation, folks are asked to attend two orientation sessions and a reception.  In order to help new members become integrated into the life of our family of faith, the sessions offer information about our faith and about our congregation’s ministry base.

Transferring from a Lutheran Congregation – a letter of transfer is requested and received from your current congregation.

Joining from outside the Lutheran tradition – these folks are received by Affirmation of Faith.

Everyone seeking membership in the congregation is expected to worship at Union Lutheran regularly throughout the orientation process as well.

Those unable to meet the session and worship attendance expectations are welcome to continue to worship and participate here at Union Lutheran as their schedules permit and attend the membership orientation at a later time.  To inquire about membership or to register for the Membership Orientation Sessions, contact the Church Office at 610-767-6884 or office@ulclv.org.
