Disaster Relief
Disaster Response Volunteers/Missionaries
Each year Volunteers/missionaries from Union Lutheran Church devote a week away from work and family to help others in need due to recent disasters. Our skilled teams have built homes, installed roofing, drywall, kitchens, trim, done repairs, painted, etc. We traveled to such places as Puerto Rico, Ohio River Valley, Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, Kansas, and Indiana. In conjunction with the Journeymen's group we also completed some local projects and participate with Habitat for Humanity during ELCA Blitz Weeks.
The Disaster Response Team has a website that is maintained at http://ulcdisasterrelief.shutterfly.com/
